Ken was born and raised in the San Diego area, and after graduation followed a family migration to Southern Oregon. He met his future wife at work in 1996 and they live in Medford. Together, they raised three amazing young adults; Colton, Dustin and Miranda. Ken and Linda are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this summer. He is also uncle to Shawn Bellenbaum, who won first place in the 2022 DWTRVS Ballroom category, along with partner Whitney Fitzgerald.
Ken spent six years as a field technician for an international company, traveling to countries like Japan, Europe, and Australia. He then began working for Cook Solutions Group in 2009. As lead service technician, he covers a territory that spans from Roseburg to Redding and Lakeview to the Oregon coast. Ken likes to immerse himself in a wide range of physical activity. He enjoys cycling, running and working out in his home gym, as well as hiking and camping. Ken likes to push himself to try something outside his comfort zone, so recent years have seen him taking piano lessons, officiating a wedding, and completing a triathlon. However, the DWTRVS hip hop competition may top all of those. On the night of the first meeting, he was still having second thoughts about signing up, but on the way there heard “Dancing Queen” and then “Time of My Life” on the radio. That felt like the perfect sign.
